Corner Posts For Router Table Cabinets

This is a Router Table Depot exclusive!  We have developed a very good quality product that answers a lot
of needs for woodworkers.

You can now build router table cabinets  for your shop that will be the envy of all woodworkers.  These
posts are not limited to router tables, they can be used for any of  your cabinet needs and eliminate the
need for router table plans.   These corner posts are milled on a shaper out of cabinet grade Ash.  We
choose ash because it can be made to match just about any color or grade in your shop and its a very
sturdy hardwood.
Here are some of the things you can do with these corner posts:
  • Build High quality stands or router table cabinets
  • The perfect corner, no guesswork
  • you can use any joinery technique your comfortable with, nail, glue, screw etc.
  • You only have to make straight cuts for the sides and backs.........Awesome!
  • A 3/4" dado is installed on the top and bottom allowing you to add stock for perfect router table

  • You can eliminate the need to buy Router Table plans, these are so easy to use
We choose to make this a kit for several reasons.  
  1. First of all is cost.  If we were to supply you with all the wood you would need to make a cabinet or stand, it would cost you a
    fortune in shipping.  Why pay that?  
  2. Secondly, the kit allows you to make the size you want for your shop instead of a guess on our part of what you need.
  3. You can either cut the wood you want to size your self or even go to Home Depot and have the sizes cut for you and your ready
    to go.
  4. You can use any material you have lying around for the sides and back of your cabinet.  These corner posts even work well with
    MDF.
  5. Staining or painting is easy, they are ready to go, just sand to your style and finish!
  6. You can get as fancy as you like, add shelves or drawers is all up to you.  This feature makes your cabinet or stand expandable
    as your needs grow.

This diagram shows you how to make a
simple cabinet with great features.  This
cabinet can be made with just two
cornerpost's and less than a sheet of
plywood.

  • "A" and "C"  Shows that you fit the
    3/4" sides right into the corner post.

  • "D" and "F"  are the sides

  • "E"  is the back

  • The sides and back require simple
    cuts

  • The front view shows an optional
    face frame that covers the raw edge
    of plywood.  This is optional.  It also
    shows an optional shelf that you can
    install.  You could also easily install
    drawers under the shelf for a great
    custom look.

  • "G" is a very simple strip of 3/4"
    wood that gives you strength and an
    additional fastening point for the
    router top.  When finished the top
    installs on top of this cabinet.
